Early Sales of my new Ebook

I published my first book on Amazon Kindle Direct (How to Get a University Job in South Korea: The English Teaching Job of Your Dreams) on November 11th and early sales have been quite good, especially considering the minimal amount of marketing that I’ve done and the poor timing. Ideally, I would have had it published in early October instead of mid-November. So far, I’ve just posted on a few of the sites that English teachers frequent and my own blogs and Hubpages and haven’t paid for any form of advertising.

As of today, it’s been 2 weeks and I’ve sold 19 copies, which earn me around $2.10 each in commission (70% of $2.99). 2 people have read my book using the Kindle unlimited program. I don’t know all the ins and out of that, but basically people pay a flat fee and can read as many books as they want per month. As long as they read 10% of the book, I get a proportional share of the money pool. I’m uncertain yet how much this will actually be but it seems like it will also be around $2/book.
